All About Truly Ministries - Past- Present -Future

Since 2004, Truly Ministries, Inc. has been changing lives through being a home for those who knew no home. From child abuse to domestic violence, Our Mission has been to address the social ills of our community through being the light that God has called us to be. Here at Truly Ministries, we focus on a holistic approach to identify the challenges that accompany physical, mental, and emotional traumas.

Along with my wife, Joan, we have been helping those in need since returning home from Germany in 1991. From housing family members to mentoring neighborhood kids, we have always had a heart full of love and a concern for those who are considered to be the least of these. Our desire is deeply rooted in an understanding that can only be gleaned through our first-hand knowledge, and experiences of being victims of what comes along with growing up in a single parent, fatherless household and poor socioeconomics.

I am a retired veteran of the U.S. Army, a licensed and ordained, associate minister at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the pastorate of former Civil Right activist Dr. John E. Cameron, Sr. in Jackson, MS. I obtained my Doctor of  Divinity from Flagg Chapel Bible College in 2018. I am a Certified Anger Management Instructor, Youth Mentor, Certified “Train the Trainer” Fatherhood Initiative Coach, and Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist.
